Tips for Application of Pearlescent Pigments
Pearlescent Pigments are capable of expressing the elegant gloss and color of natural pearl, shell, butterfly, fish and metal.It's nontoxic, heat-resistant, light-resistant, alkali-resistant, non-allochroic, non-migratory, and nonconductive. Its unique characteristics make it is widely used in paint, ink, plastic, cosmetic, Paper, Leathers and others.
1) Pearl luster pigments are compatible with transparent fundamental raw materials while not with non-transparent pigments such as Titanium Oxide, usual Ferric Oxide, Chromiun and Cadmium ones.
2) In dispersion process,avoid using devices such as Ball Grinder,Sand Mill and Three-roller Mill which might shear or grind the crystal film of Pritty pigments
3) Choose different base colors so as to obtain new artistic color effect.
4) It's the only way to choose the other pearl luster with smaller particle size but not addition of amount in order to increase hiding degree.
5) Blend pearl luster pigment with a little Carbon Black or Ultramarine which would absorb lights of transmittance; thus a more distinct pearly effect will attain.
